Project Description:
Renovation of the historic West Tampa Centro Espanol building to house a community service/cultural arts and skills training center.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The new center will provide education, employment, housing, and youth development services to the residents of the surrounding community as well as residents having the lowest socio-economic indicators.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Outcome includes: reduction in unemployment, reduction in illiteracy, reduction in the number of residents having less than a high school diploma, reduction in vacant lots and boarded up homes.
