Project Description:
To provide water and sewer service to a chronic flood prone area which is served by individual wells and septic tanks which are 20-30 years old and are failing. This is a low-income area greatly in need of water and sewer utility service.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
This area will receive City water and sewer therby eliminating the potential for well and surface water contamination. Since it is a low income area, this project would alleviate costly repairs to walls and septic tanks by residents, which may or may not occur dur to individual financial situations.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
To provide City water and sewer service to 400 homes in a low income area of the City .
