Project Description:
Funds will be used to offset cost of fingerprinting and performing national criminal background checks on school volunteers.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Performing fingerprinting and background checks on school volunteers will help insure the safety and welfare of students.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Hendry County is a small rural county at a $10 millage rate. They do not have sufficient funds to perform these tasks to ensure that volunteers have been properly screened before working with students. To ensure that the well being of each student is protected, the school board must perform these tasks.
