Funds will be used to replace aged bleachers, an inadequate electrical system and provide potable water for the facility. The grounds are in disrepair and pose a significant safety hazard to all who visit. The requested amount is included in the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services supplemental budget request. |

These much needed improvements are urgently needed to provide a safe and decent facility for all rodeo participants. Hendry County is a major rural agricultural community with more than 400,000 acres of ranch and pasture land. The County is currently at the millage rate cap of $10.00 mills. |
