Project Description:
Roadway and Bridges Rehabilitation Project at various locations within the City of Margate, particularly reconstruction of: Margate Boulevard, from State Road 7 to west City limits (2.5 miles) Royal Palm Boulevard from State Road 7 to One-mile Canal (1.0 miles) Holiday Springs Boulevard from Sample Road to curb (1.0 miles) East River Drive from Margate Boulevard to NW 18th Street (0.5 miles) 15.2 miles of local collector road at various locations Bridge rehabilitation per FDOT Deficiency Report * * The above project is anticipated to be completed in multi-year phases.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Project provides a large scale scope of services and benefits to the State since the project improves City roadways that feed into county and/or state roads. It would enable the City to reach goals/objectives of the comprehensive growth management plan. In addition, the project increases the City's effectiveness in providing services to its citizens such as emergency response, fire rescue, police and transit.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Improves property values and encourages community development, both of which directly benefit the City, County and State.
