Project Description:
Acquisition and rennovation of existing facility to expand the psycho-educational and rehabilitation program to serve an additional 100 individuals disabled by severe mental illness; program currently serves more than 500 disabled individuals annually.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
To provide a cost effective and humanistic alternative to institutionalization, comprehensive rehabilitation service in a day treatment milieu to more than 600 individuals annually.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
To inncrease employability, independence and community integration of individuals with mental illness; decrease costly and restrictive inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
