Project Description:
Construction of emergency shelter/transitional facility and childcare center for domestic violence victims and their children - serving eight counties in North Florida.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Services provided interrupt the cycle of family violence by providing services necessary to enhance the safety and self-sufficiency of domestic violence victims.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Victims of domestic violence - both children and adults, are provided shelter and kept safe from harm. All children are screened for abuse. It is anticipated that 500 women and children will be served the first year.
