|
The Town of Sneads, Florida desires to upgrade their existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and to expand their effluent sprayfield to bring them into compliance with FDEP regulations. The wastewater treatment and disposal facility serves the Town of Sneads. Through an agreement with the Department of Corrections, the Sneads WWTP also serves the Apalachee Correctional Institute (ACI) located just east of Sneads. The proposed WWTP upgrade will increase the design flow capacity from 0.495 mgd to 1.3mgd, and will increase the effluent sprayfield acreasge from 65 acres to 252 acres. Two 100% capacity (one operating and one installed spare) vertical turbine pumps will provide effluent at 3000 gpm and 86 psig to the sprayfield distribution piping. Each pump will be supplied with a 200 hp TEFC motor. The sprayfield will be divided into 13 zones and will be furnished with solenoid actuated control valves for activating each zone. |
