Project Description: |
This project would provide for the establishment of a research center for development of microelectromechanical systems. The appropriation requested would fund eight engineering positions, constituting the staff of the research center. The center has received funding from the U.S. Congress for equipment, and the Pinellas County Economic Development Council has provided in-kind services (free rent and utilities) to the center. The Florida Center for MEMS Research would support university, local and state business development. |
