|
The City of Blountstown plans to upgrade collapsing and failing sewer lines that have been identified in a Consent Order from FDEP. Currently through funding from Rural Development and Community Block Grants, the City has replaced some of these lines. Under the Consent Order, the City is required in a timely fashion complete all the replacements of these defective lines. The City has also promised to take all available funding that is received in the way of grants to alleviate the problems that are identified in the Consent Order. Any funding received through this grant would be applied to finishing the remaining upgrades mandated in the consent order and to improve on other desperately needed replacements in the system. |
