Project Description:
Project will commercialize electrochromic window technology, a state of the art window film that allows the user to control the light and heat that passes through a window, thereby reducing building operating costs. The $1,000,000 is matched with $1,000,000 from the federal government, Department of Energy, and with private funding to promote a Florida Based electrochromic industry.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
This project will provide high wage job growth for the State, high tech infrastructure development, create energy efficiency products for State Buildings, and promote additional federal funded projects in Florida
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Rapid acceleration of high wage, high tech jobs, development of thin film industry in Florida, and energy savings.
