Project Description:
The PTEC/High Point Clinic provides needed medical services in the form of Family Medicine/Dermatology to the underserved population in Pinellas County. In partnership with the Pinellas County Health Department, this clinic is the only option for health care for the uninsured or underinsured in this part of Pinellas County.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The clinic will provide medical services to eligible individuals within the PTEC/High Point area of Pinellas County. This includes screening, assessment, education, treatment, counseling and referrals in a primary care and outreach setting for clients of all ages. Promote healthy lifestyles and community education with emphasis on chronic diseases, counsel at-risk behavior, and prevent teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Clinic will provide a medical home for target population including newborn and prenatal care. Interagency referals will promote client access to PinCHD services including the Health Start, WIC, Dental, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program.
