Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Florida Holocaust Museum proposes to provide funding for student and teacher awareness days to be made available to all high school students within Florida to travel to the museum to participate in an Academic Day.  This day will include testimonies from HOLOCAUST surviviors and guest speakers in addition to a complete museum tour and day long program.

This program has been in place on a limited basis in 5 Florida counties which have documented a higher student achievement as a result of this program safer learning environments are created as well as exploring one by one the human life promoting cultural diversity and tolerance by using the lessons of the Holocaust which will allow students to understand the importance of making correct choices.
