Project Description:
Renovation of a 50-year-old historic baseball stadium. The site has historical significance bacause it is where the late, great Jackie Robinson broke baseball's "color barrier" in 1946.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The facility will be used to host youth and adult recreational baseball and softball, as well as high school, college, local, state and national competitions and community events.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
It is anticipated that renovation of the stadium will result in a measurable increase in its use, as well as an increase in revenues generated from the use of the stadium.
