Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Complete emergency repairs to the terrace and dock, replace mechanical systems and complete interior work at the Ca'd'zan.  Replace the Museum's 20 year old security system in six buildings.  Replace wate valves for the whole complex, repairs to hazadous, deteriorating cast concrete decoration along the roof line of the art museum , replace deteriorated HVAC equipment in the Circus Museum and upgrade electrical and fire safety systems in the Ar and Circus Museum and the Asolo Theater.

Replace 22 year old truck, replace worn out, unserviceable equipment.

 

Restoration of the collections at Ca'd'zan.

Salaries to continue 60 positions and replace four staff persons to meet the recommendation of the reaccredidation report of the American Association of Museums: Senior Museum Education Progam Specialist, Museum Art Collection Curator, Museum Security Officer and Museum Groundskeeper.

Statr to replace 29 employees cut from Museum staff sjssne 1992 (dollar for dollar match)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

Provides an internationally known tourist attraction bringing tourist from all 50 states and many nations throughout the world to Florida. About 250,000 annually 47% from out of state.  Generates $22 million for FLorida's economy. Provides education programs, materials and teacher training. 26,800 students visited the museum last year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
