Project Description: |

||
To fund the construction necessary to restore and rehabilitate the two story vernacular building known as the City Hall Annex and bring it into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The City Hall Annex, originally known as the Domestic Science and Manual Training School, was built in 1901 and dedicated in 1902. It is the oldest school building in the area and is one of the oldest standing buildings in St. Petersburg. It was built for $10,000 and given to the City of St. Petersburg as a gift, free and clear, from E.H. Tomlinson, a local philanthropist. The school, which has been in continual use for the last ninety seven years has recently become the focus of neighborhoods in St. Petersburg when the Neighborhood Partnership and Neighborhood Services offices moved into the building. |
