Project Description:
A scientifically validated detector dog training and certification program will be implemented statewide primarily for narcotics detector dogs but also including explosives, accelerant and other detector dogs across the State.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
In addition to published guidelines and hosted seminars, the program will provide improved narcotics interdiction with refined detector dog teams and improve courtroom defensibility by providing a sound scientific base.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Improved detector dog teams and improved courtroom defensibility of alerts.
