|
The child abuse pilot project is a local community initiative to demonstrate how a redesigned fully-funded child abuse intervention system can improve the outcomes for children. The initiative includes both public and private partners (with the private partners providing approximately a 7 to 1 match of State funds). |

The services provided include enanced shelter care services including social work services and crisis intervention; independent case management; a visitation center; and a treatment provider network. |

Measureable outcomes include: increased rate of visitation (i.e. weekly); improved family assessment; and decreased length of time that a child spends in foster care. |
