Project Description:
Construction of a YMCA pool in Indiantown
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
There is presently no place for children and families to swim in Indiantown except in nearby canals and lakes. This will provide a safe, well managed, structured environment for the benefit of all those who use the facility.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The YMCA wishes to provide residents with an opportunity to learn to swim and be in a safe and supervised environment. Anyone unable to afford the nominal daily fee will be assisted through our Childen and Families Fund which is supported through contribution made by YMCA members and supporters, the community at large, Children's Services Council and the United Way.
