Project Description:

The Escambia County Council on Aging, Inc. is a private nonprofit agency serving elders throughout Escambia County since 1972.  The agency provides a myriad of home and community-based services and also serves as a focal point for services and information.  The Council operates a Center at 132 Mintz lane in Cantonment which serves as a focal point for elder services in the greater Cantonment area.  For the past few years this Center has reached its maximum capacity for the number of people which can be served from the Center.  However, the need and demand for home and community-based services continue to grow in this area and, as a result, more space is desperately needed.  Thus, this request for $100,000 is to cover the cost of Center renovation and expansion.
