Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Hispanic Crime Prevention Program at the Center for the Administration of Justice of Florida International University seeks to inform and orient Florida's Hispanic population about the judicial system, law enforcement agencies, and the services available from public and private sector organizations to fight and prevent crime.  The goal of the program is to reduce the incidence of crime in the Hispanic community. As either victims or perpetrators of crime

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

The funding requested will allow the Program to expand its current operations in South and Central Florida to the West Coast. It will expand its television and radio programs; increase the reach of its netnetwork with justice agencies, community service organizations and community groups; support local workshops, seminars, and town meetings; support the efforts of justice agencies to reach Hispanics; and provide technical assitance to include Hispanics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

Reduction in the incidence of Crime in the Hispanic community, as either victims or perpetrators.  Evaluation measures employed include surveys, questionnaires of key justice leaders; television and radio surveys; monitoring of feedback from outreach efforts; and unsolicited letters from criminal justice officials.
