Project Description:
Provide community-based and school based mentoring services to at-risk children across the state of Florida.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Research studies show providing children with caring adult mentors dramatically improves school attendance and performance, self-control, decreases the likelihood of experimenting with or using drugs, alcohol or tobacco products, and greatly lessens the likelihood of involvement with crime of any type.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Children will show improvement in academic and/or behavioral performance.
