Carver Community Center in Century serves a large low-income population. Repair historic school building for use as a community center. Repair roof, windows, doors and electrical system.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Give residents of a severely low-income area a place for holding social, educational and other gatherings in a historic neighborhood building. Various county and state agencies utilize this facility for various functions.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Increased community activities, unity and pride. Increased participation in state and local programs.
