Constuct, furnish, and operate a 15,000 square foot librarn on land purchased jointly with the Town of Melbourne Beach. |

Currently there is no public library in the South Beach area of Brevard County (an area that extends south from US Highway 192 approx. 14 miles). Direct library service to the 10,431 residents of the area will result and will include circulation of materials, access to computer programs and the internet, youth and children's programming, adult programming, and access to meeting room facilities. At present, residents have to travel at least five miles to the library in Melbourne or at least seven miles to use the Satellite Beach Public Library. |

An anticipated monthly circulation of 10,000 materials for the first year of operation. An anticipated patron attendance fugure of 5,000 people per month who will use the library. Anticipating answering 1,000 reference questions per month the first year. |
