Project Description:
Expansion of proposed Amtrak Station on airport property; to include enclosed waiting area and expanded ingress/egress for cars/buses. Current state plans call for minimal open air kiosk. Multi-media demonstration possilbe through linking of rail/air terminal functions.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Support for East Coast Amtrak service offering linked facilities for passengers, including gateway for cruise passengers going to Port Canaveral.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
To serve between 7,500 and 10,000 passengers in first year at this new station with anitcipated increases as more people learn about this service.
