Project Description:
The Florida Holocaust Museum proposes to construct a new Resource Center in Sarasota which will serve all counties in the state for addtional educational materials for distribution to teachers. The Museum in St. Petersburg is growing and out growing their facility which prompted the Board of Trustees to create a new Resource Center as a point of further distribution of Educational outreach materials used by teachers in the classrooms throughout Florida. These materials meet the requirments of the Holocaust Educational Mandate SB660 passed in 1994 and will further FCAT/Florida Writes. Connections for schools to meet their educationa curriculum obligations. The Resource Center will need materials for distribution and research purposes. This is a one time educational materials request.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Provide a second location for resource materials for schools throughout the State of Florida to access Holocaust materials and teacher CD ROM developed in conjunction with USF in Tampa.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Greater access to educational materials. A more convenient location for distribution and access for schools.
