Project Description: |

||
The Florida Solar Energy Research & Education Foundation (FlaSEREF)will conduct a multi-media promotional campaign to encourage the use of solar water heating in residences, particularly at the time of construction. This campaign will focus on the economic benefits of solar water heating & will include newspaper, radio, & television advertising as well as direct mailings to builders throughout the state. FlaSEREF will participate in the Southeast Builders Conference & provide pre-event mailings to registerd delegates. FlaSEREF will prepare consumer literature which features the benefits of solar energy. FlaSEREF will provide cooperative advertising opportunities for builders & solar businesses promoting model home & parade of home solar system installations. FlaSEREF will measure the success of this program by tracking the current level of solar system installations in new construction before the campaign is conducted & compare it with the level of sales after the campaign. Mail & telephone surveys will be conducted with participating builders & solar companies to determine the effectiveness of the program & solicit recommendations on program modification |
