Project Description:
Grand Ridge Recreational Complex Completion-Phase III. The Recreational Complex is located on a 20,.41 acre parcel of property immediately behind Grand Ridge School. Natural vegetation on the site includes a variety or oak trees, grasses, and wild flowers that add to the landscape. As there is no water source on the property, there are no fish nor any tipe of wildlife that would utilize such a habitat. Transportation is provided through a city street (Florida Street) and a deeded entrance and egress easement made as a part of the property's deed to the city. There is no known archaeological history on the site, however, another name for Florida Street is the "Old Spanish Trail". As with any other properties in the Florida Panhandle, a rim of large native oaks and pines surround the site providing sources for natural education potential.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
(This is located in the Governor's designated Area of Economic Critical Concern)This funding would complete the Phase III which consists of Lighting for the Baseball field and Lighting for the Basketball court. It will pay for the renovation of the Baseball, existing Softball, Soccer Fields, Hiking Trail, Picnic Pavilion, Basketball Court and improve drainage to Soccer field, landscapting, security lighting,and parking.
