PROVIDE FLORIDA'S PUBLIC SCHOOLS WITH AN ADDITIONAL 10,000 TEACHERS OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS TO REDUCE OVERCROWDING.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

THIS WILL IMPROVE STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIOS AND ALLOW TEACHERS TO SPEND MORE ONE-ON-ONE TIME WITH STUDENTS. CURRENTLY, AN ADDITIONAL 8,300 TEACHERS ARE NEEDED TO MEET THE 1998 LEGISLATIVELY ENACTED GOAL OF ONE TEACHER TO EVERY 20 STUDENTS IN GRADES K-3 ACROSS THE STATE. AN ADDITIONAL 1,700 TEACHERS IN THE STATE'S FAILING SCHOOLS WILL HELP LIFT THEM UP AND ENSURE ALL CHILDREN HAVE A QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION.
