||
The JASON Project is a technology rich, cross-cultural learning opportunity for students. Participating classroom groups monitor rains forest exploration conducted by the JASONN Foundation. School systems from 31 international locations "tune-in" to Jason's electronic link and complete assignments that are part of a companion classroom based curriculum. This year, Broward County joined 36 international locations along with JASON Foundation to explore living environments in space and deep water. |

The JASON Project enables students to use state of the art technology to learn about science, social studies and the arts. Participation in the JASON Project also gives the state a presence in an international learning community. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |

|
||||
Participation in the JASON Project will provide a vehicle for the integration of math, science and technology into teaching and learning. Students involved in this project will develop an understanding of how these subject areas are used in contemporary scientific research. The use of technology and the integration of curriculum are part of the Sunshine State Standards for Education. Both of these objectives are considered vital to the development of an effective education process. |
