Project Description:
Development of a regional public water access park to include boat launch, fishing, picnic shelters, playscape, trails, restrooms, and community center.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Fuel and pump-out station for Intracoastal Waterway traffic, support for national fishing tournament, support for significant eco-tourism effort (JOINT PROJECT: U.S. Park Service, State Park Service, and City of Jacksonville).
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Greatly enhanced public access to waters of the lower St. Johns River/Atlantic Ocean. Also, economic benefits of the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament, economic benefits of eco-tourism.
