Services Provided/Benefit to State: |
This will improve student to teacher ratios and allow teachers to spend more one-on-one time with students. Currently, an additional 8,300 teachers are needed to meet the 1998 legislatively enacted goal of one teacher to every 20 students in grades K-3 across the state. An additional 1,700 teachers in the state's failing schools will help lift the up and ensure all children have a quality public education. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
If not adopted, our children will continue to be placed in over-crowded classrooms without sufficient contact with good teachers. |
