To construct a multi-use recreastional park on county-owned property. The park site will include a children's playground, amphitheater, softball practice field, skating area, basketball courts, tennis courts, racquetball and handball courts, batting cages and exercise trails. There will also be a large pavilion and several picnic shelters and 2 restroom facilities. The YMCA will also be constructing their gymnasium on a portion of the property. There will be three soccer fields for the YMCA soccer program. |

This park will provide residents of Walton and surrounding counties with a multi-use recreational park. This park will provide recreational activities for all ages. It will be accessible for tourists coming through Walton County to stop and picnic and rest. Establishment of this park would be in keeping with state wide goals to provide adequate recreational facilities for its citizens. |
