Project Description:
Eye Screening of children and the elderly for the prevention of eye disease and the correction of vison.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Vision testing for children and the elderly and testing for eye disease. Early detection can prevent blindness and learning disabilities, personality and adjustment problems in school. Detection of glacoma in the elderly may prevent unnecessary blindness.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Corrected vision problems in chidlren and glaucoma detection in the elderly ultimately reduces the cost of long term care.
