Mentoring Program for At Risk Youth |

Services Provided/Benefit to State: |

Specialized performance-focused academic and mentoring program targeting up to 75 at-risk youth and their families who are failing public school because of problematic behaviors in grades 2-5 who reside in Escambia County and attend one of the listed elementary school which received a failing grade of "F" within the Florida Dept. of Education's School Performance Grading System. This program provides an enhanced and enriched educational environment built around a fexible faith-based model suitable for extremely at-risk elementary school chidren. |

This programs instructional settings, levels of expectations and parental involvement shall develop individuals who are achieving at their hightest level of potential; embrace democratic ideals including honesty integrity respect for self and others, responsibility and patriotism. 100% of youth participating in program shall demonstrate improved behavior by being able to be mainstreamed back into the regular public school setting. |
