Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This project will offer prevention service to school-aged youth, residing in high-crime neighborhoods with a single parent.  After school diversionary services will include, but are not limited to:  computer training, tutorial services, conflict-resolution counseling self-seteem workshops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

By reducing the juvenile crime in targeted areas, it prevents recidivism and prevents at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice system or even the criminal justice system as adult offenders, saving lives and taxpayers dollars.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

We expect several outcome measures including: increasing parental involvement and reading and computer literacy skills, improving classroom conduct and conflict-resolution and self-esteem skills, while decreasing recidivism and school absences.
