VNS for treatment of refractory epilepsy and seizure control.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
To treat Florida Medicaid recipient with NVS treatment provides an adequate seizure control, quality of life improvement and cost effective trreatment for refractory epilepsy patients who are not responding to AEDs
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
VNS treatment is cost effective as reported by 4 center studies and to cover cost of treatment between 1.5 to 2 years, improve quality of live and giving Florida Medicaid program saving there after.
