Project Description:

A rapid response system that assists police departments in a search for missing children, the elderly, the disabled, and sexual predators notification.  A Child Is Missing can assist with various emergencies that law enforcement faces everyday.

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

The cost of providing this services is quite costly, but if the cost is spread out, it can be affordable and all law enforcement agencies can benefit.  This is a Public/Private partnership, with a not for profit organization.  There is no total service like this in the state at the present time.  It is basically free to law enforcement.  This funding will allow ACIM to provide service to the Central and South end of the state (33counties) and then by this time next year, ACIM can provide service to the rest of the state.  This project can happen with the stipulation that all funding is acquired.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

At present, law enforcement agencies in Dade and Broward County are using the service.  ACIM has been able to produce results and leads to finding people, saving law enforcement many hours and additional revenue.  With the expanded service, law enforcement will have service provided when they need it by just calling.  The sooner a person is located or notified, the safer they are likely to be when found.  The community benefits and it is a response system that people can hear working in their own homes.
