Project Description:
Creates new wastewater treatment facility and resolves Town's broken and damaged existing sanitary sewer infrastructure by replacing the blocked 50-year old terra cotta pipes. This project is under review by the Water Projects Board.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
This project will help reduce contaminants to ground water supplies and will help reduce the discharge of pollutants to impaired water bodies on DEP 303(d)list. Benefits the watershed, Alligator Creek and tributatries. Would prevent the ongoing flooding of streets and homes with raw sewage.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Creation of a workable sewer system which does not pose the problems currently being experienced by the Town.
