Project Description:
This appropriation will allow the St. Johns County Health Department to establish a walk-in primary care unit for patients of all socio-economic levels. The unit will take pressure off of emergency rooms to treat primary care cases.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The primary care unit will support efforts to provide better care to indigent patients.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The primary care unit will reduce the amount of tax dollars spent on indigent care and will increase the availability of increased health care.
