Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Present facilities are inadequate for current and future needs.  The Suwannee Valley Youth Livestock Show covers three counties.  The youth from these counties who participate in the FFA and the 4H clubs all show their animals at this facility.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

Without this expansion many of the youth who participate in the swine show will not be able to exhibit their animals at the livestock show.  In rural North Florida the FFA and 4H clubs have a high participation with the youth and their families.  North Florida is still very much a agricultural orientented part of our state.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

The current facilities were built to exhibit approximately 140 to 150 swine.  During the last four years over 200 swine were at each show and sale.  Given the current and future growth trends, the need for expanded space will continue to grow.
