Project Description: |
Midway is currently without the capability to provide such municipal services as water, wastewater treatment, electricity and natural gas.Without these revenue-generating resources, the city cannot provide recreation, highway/park beautification, library and other needed municipal services. This package could make it possible for the City of Midway to provide many of the basic services that residents expect from a city government. Residents would be afforded the opprtunity to use central services systems, therby reducing the potential of water and air pollution while having continuous sources of water, wastewater treatment, electricity and natural gas services. |

Services Provided/Benefit to State: |
Residents and businesses will be afforded basic municipal services at affordable prices. The potential for water and air borne illnesses will be reduced. Approximately 600 households and 20 businesses will be affected. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
City will be able to generate revenue to provide other municipal services, including but not limited to: recreation, highway/park beautification and library services. It is anticipated that at least 25 persons would use the library daily, thus resulting in an increase in literacy rate local residents. |
