Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Funding to construct a public safety building to house the Baker Fire Department, Okaloosa County Sheriff's Field Office, State Fire Marshal and Florida Division of Forestry fire suppression crews. Also the money will be used to buy property five miles north of Baker in the Cannon town area to erect a fire substation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

Provide housing for Division of Forestry crews when on standby in the Baker area adn space for the State Fire Marshal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

Improved response time to emergencies and a reduction in the Fire District's ISO rating for insurance purposes.
