The building will consist of several offices, large conference room & an auditorium which will have removable seats. The design for this project is intended for multiple use. The agri-civic center will be built on property owned by Desoto County valued at $400,000 |

The County will house the Extension, 4-H, & Soil Conservation offices in the front portion of the building. The back portion is the auditorium which will be a major asset to the County because we are in need of a Hurricane Evacuation Center. It will also be available to the School Board for graduations & other school events. The County will have the auditorium available for Agricultural & Sporting Events as well as public meetings. |

Desoto County currently does not have a building of this type & is in need of this facility. This will provide a safe place not only to Desoto County residents, but also to coastal counties during an evacaution emergency. Many elderly residents of Desoto County are unable to travel outside the county, this facility would make if possible for these residents to attend events close to their homes. |
