Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Approximately 800' of 8'X 3' concrete box culverts plus 4 drop-inlet and grates, associated piping, flume and headwalls, necessary fill, seeding, mulching to complete project; also possible rip-rap at project termination.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

To complete restoration of approximately 800' of an existing man made (7th Street Canal) which represents approximately 20% of the entire canal (80% completed early 1999 under CDBG Hazard Mitigation Program).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

This will restore the 8th St drainage canal which is man made.  It will resolve a recurring water violation and help resolve recurring drainage and flood control problems into the Gulf of Mexico.
