Project Description:
The City of Hollywood proposes a joint project with the State of Florida to renovate, refurbish, and upgrade the Lippman Center. The City proposes spending $600,000 through it's capital improvement funds and seeks matching state funding. The need for these improvements has been publicly reviewed, documented and supported by the City of Hollywood Commission, the City of Hollywood Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, various Civic Assoications and City of Hollywood's Capital Improvement Master Plan.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The center provides a continuum of services to the low-income senior residents at risk of state medicaid-funded institutionlization. The average user of the Center is 78 years old and the hot meal and socalization programs enhance seniors self-sufficiency, optimum functionality, vitality and self worth.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Benchmarks for measurable outcomes will be established and reported anually.
