Project Description:
Facilities upgrade including new well installation, extension of boardwalk, new boat ramp, upgrade of camping area, extension of fishing pier, repair to picnic shelters new equipment and tool shed.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
This regional park has had a continuous influx of new visitors over the past several years and serves a region including Gadsden, Leon, Liberty and Jackson counties in Florida and South Georgia and Alabama. The campgrounds have regularly experienced capacity crowds throughout the year and need extensive upgrades to handle demand.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Increaded visitors to area, increased tourism, increased capacity for local recreational use.
