Project Description:

Wastewater Management System Construction. Currently the City has no waste water outfall into canals or tide anywhere outside of the city. During minor rainfall there is flooding throughout the city, creating septic backup with associated health hazards, property damage, and public transportation hazards.

The City has formed a Stormwater Utility, this funding will go toward consruction  of a storm waste water symtem. The system designates outfall to either C-9 or C-10 within the South Florida Water District.

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

The Stormwater Manageent system will create, for the first time in the Town of Pembroke Park, a way to effectively manage the outfall from naturally occuring storms. On a day to day basis, the system will enhance the city ability to reduce public health hazzards and public transportation hazards. In the event of a major catistrofic storm, a stormwater management system will help reduce property damage for both public and privately help property.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Reduction of public health hazards assciated with septic tank back-ups within a community. Reduces the risk of public property damage to local electric utlities. Reduction in traficc accidents assoicated with street flooding is anticipated.
