Project Description:
Prenatal care for pregnant women for whom no other funding source is available through public, private or personal resources.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Vital prenatal, delivery, and postnatal services by private sector Board Certified Obstertricians to women who have no other source for funding: these medical services are preventive intervention for potential developmental problems and disabilities: the program needs to have recurring funds due to the loss of private funding.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
To reduce the risk of complications and increase the potential detection of complications during pregnancy that can result in low birth weight, fetal distress, birth traumas and defects, and fetal infant and maternal mortality.
