Project Description:
Provides for the construction of combined Family Medicine and Primary Care "Clinical Classroom" with state of the art teaching environment for medical, nursing and public health students. Team care for vulnerable populations, specifically the elderly, children and women. Enhances partnerships with community hospitals and with the James A. Haley Vererans' Hospital. Work in consort with many USF departments and initiatives, including the Institute on Aging, on Brain Repair and the Roskamp Center (Alzheimers Research) and with the College of Public Health, including Preventative and Occupational Medicine.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Training and retention of Family Medicine and Primary Care practitioners; improvement in patients' health; enhancement of College of Medicine fiscal stability.
